Max & Erma's
On a sunny Wednesday, February 20, Bill & Erika called for a Dine only Hookey and Retiree's Drive n Dine at Max & Erma's in Carmel. Those able to brave the cold winds were Bill & Erika L, Dick & Bonnie P, Jim & Shelley N, Andy & Sarah L, Bob Y, Greg B, and Jeff B. Jeff was counted as an almost Hookey Player as he had made the extra effort to go in to work early just so he could get off in time to eat with us. We appreciated his effort to join the group, as he also shared the car hauler picture below that he took while on 465 Tuesday. Yes - that is a Yellow C7 - with what looked like Michigan plates on it. The discussion of course covered the coveting of a new C7 and how they can be configured to many animal stories, both dead and alive. Jeff told one about an alligator while he was stationed in North Carolina, which led to a Gator Aid comment being made and many more stories We also got found out that Shelley was the go to person on their cul-de-sac in Los Vegas to get action taken when neighbors either party too much or left cars parked blocking the street. She also had a full proof way to keep late night swimmers out of a neighbor's pool, see her for the tip if you are having that problem. As always the lunch went long in to the afternoon to the point where we outlasted our server, as he had to leave so he could come back for the dinner hour. We all enjoyed the lunch but are all getting to the point where we want a Drive to be part of the day too, who knows maybe in a few weeks the weather will cooperate.
