Kellam's Bonfire 2012
After skipping a year due to the construction of their new house the Corvette Indy Club once again met at the Kellam's property for a Chili dinner and dessert pitch in. The evening of October 13 was not really too bad as it had rained a little bit during the afternoon, but was dryer by evening, with fairly moderate temperatures. The event was going to happen with either rain or clear weather due to their former living quarters, the pole barn, now being empty as the house is completed. The Kellam's Corvettes were even safely sleeping in the new house's garage. As everyone arrived the bonfire, in it's new location, was blazing and very welcoming while over 40 members parked their 'metal' cars. Everyone was immediately offered a tour of the house, with Truck assistance as guide. As the tours continued those seated at the bonfire decided to sample the Chili (hot & mild with some mixing the two), and the multitude of desserts brought by the group. Some of the group had their Chili inside while a majority sat around the fire, everyone though ate too many desserts. The whole group had a great time, and as the evening wound down they started to pull out based on who's transportation was blocking others.
A great evening and everyone thanks Jim & Pam for their hospitality and all are looking forward to the continuation of the event!
