​Thursday at Gold Autocross 6/22

 With region along with Corvette Indy members arriving early the Gold Autocross was ready to start on time on a nice morning of sunny weather. Soon the two Lingenfelter cars were making runs and testing the track out. We also had our own Bill Baird along with Mike Bell and Mike Godfrey getting in to fray. David soon had a low time of 19.004 which was the target for the Lingenfelter fellows to shoot for. Butch even got to drive the Lingenfelter C6 ZR1 and 5 Z06 for enjoyable runs. Around 2:30 that changed as Lingenfelter sponsored driver Danny Popp and his son arrived from Ohio to unload and start making runs. Soon the two were making runs with Danny in his C3 and son in the C5 and also giving rides. The times started to then go into the 18's with Danny finally doing a clean 17.950 to take the best run of the day. A rain shower around 4:00 stopped the days events after a total of around 290 runs were done.
