Noelle's Winter Party III

The second 2015 winter party pitch-in of the season was very well attended even with heavy snow coming in on the last day of February. The food was plentiful and delicious. The most popular item was the large bowl of shrimp and Barb Y's own cocktail sauce. As for desserts, they occupied the dining room table. The center of attraction was the very large sheet cake from Corvette Indy (brought by Greg & Donna) to our hosts to celebrate Jim and Shelley's upcoming birthdays on March 1st and 2nd respectively. Needless to say, the desserts were over the top. 
Several folks ventured to the basement to check out Jim and Shelley's very nice model train layout. It is composed of two gauges, Lionel "O" gauge and American Flyer "S" gauge. The big hit was Mel's Drive-In Diner by MTH, complete with an early Corvette and a 1957 Chevy convertible. It had music, voice messages and car-hops that came out to serve the '57 Chevy and the Corvette. Today's model trains are no longer kids toys – they are definitely for big kids also. Many thanks to our gracious hosts Jim and Shelley for another wonderful Corvette Indy winter party.
