Putnam Park with Bob in '16
Bob Young continues to amass laps at the Putnam Park Road Course where he is a member of their "The Club at Putnam Park" motorsport country club which allows him a lot of access to the track during the year. His use of the track goes back to it's opening in 1991 when he competed in the NCCC events held that year. During the year he asks fellow Corvette Indy members to come out and enjoy riding with him around the track and using the club house.

On a what was to be beautiful and warm March day Bob again headed out to Putnam with his dedicated photographer Bill. Bob had just added new sway bars the week before and wanted to see how they were preforming, and if they were worth making the change. The change was worth the effort as the C7 now corners flatter and the tire wear has move off of the edges of the tires. He feels his roughly $500 investment will be returned quickly in longer lasting Michelin's and better track feel. Bob has also added some fabricated air scoops to help with brake heat, which also are helping his driving around Putnam. Once done taking laps, the two guys enjoyed the Club house having refreshments and a couple of games of shuffleboard. They then headed back to Carmel making a few stops along the way.

On the last Saturday of January Bob asked Bill Lapham to join him for his first laps around the track in the new year. There was also going to be a luncheon served as the club house was open for the start of the IMSA Rolex race at Daytona. They both drove out separately, with Bill getting his Corvette out for new year too. Bob also used the outing to exercise his Gator 4 wheeler, which due to little snow this year had not been used yet. So he drove it around on the pavement and gravel areas to warm and limber it up before parking it in his garage. Once the track had gone hot, Bob was the first one out with Bill riding along and taking a few pictures. They ran for nearly a half hour, which was a good first time outing. A few other club members also came out and took runs, while others just came out to enjoy the afternoon of a very nice luncheon and IMSA racing.
