A Big Boy Trip 08/02

John Vess planned a Retirees and Hookey Player Drive N Dine on the very first nice day of August to one of the remaining Frisch's Big Boy, with this one in Greensburg. To make a nice drive of it he had everyone meet at the Meijer just off of I-69 on 96th street. A group of 12 Corvettes met there and started off East at the stroke of Noon. Along the way the group picked up on Corvette on Oleo road and another as they turned on to IN 52, finally the group was met by two more members from Rushville at the Big Boy. Along the way John at the front and Sharon on the radio at the rear kept all the the group together, not even getting split up at traffic lights. Good job leaders. Lunch was a remembrance to the past for many, as most had eaten many meals in a Big Boy 'back in the day'. For many the memories exceeded the reality. It was certainly a fun afternoon for all on a beautiful day.
