Vettes for Vets

On Saturday May 3 a group of Corvette Indy members headed to West Lafayette to join with the annual short drive to the Indiana Veterans Home. This year members Bob & Barb Y, Frank & Cathy C, Jeff B & Charity N, Bill L, and Jim S in 5 Corvettes joined in with the 111 Corvettes that came from all over the Indiana Region to honor the Veterans of Indiana. This was the third year for the get together hosted by the two Lafayette area NCCC clubs Star City CC & Lafayette CC. With the car count increasing from the first two years so did the much appreciated donations to the deserving men and women housed at the Indian Veterans Home. Once the gathering was done the CI group headed to the Route 66 diner and had a great lunch and more discussion. After lunch some even had ice cream, saving us looking for a DQ on the way home. A great day weather wise and making everyone feel good helping the Vets.
