Hunt for Best Tenderloin Day IX 08/09/18
Ann's Restaurant in Franklin was the Hunt for Best Tenderloin's destination and the day started with blue sky and was just right for the tops down and enjoying the great summer weather. We left just about fifteen minutes later than scheduled as Mark advised that the County just closed 86th Street west of Lafayette Road due to new chip n seal road surfaces. So, at US 52, we all went south to 56th street and made our way thru barricades and orange barrels. Along SR 267 we picked up more Club members Butch and Tammy. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we found President Ray, Harry and Tillie B waiting there along with the staff already prepared the second floor private room for our dining. After the orders were taken by the staff, Jim, the restaurant manager, gave us a message of what Ann’s Restaurant does for the community, and our state, giving a second chance of people changing their lives and becoming productive in today’s society. The staff delivered fresh and hot orders in short amount of time. Great conversations abound during our visit. I would like to suggest that this diner be considered to stop at when in the area, or another Drive N Dine in the future. Please also note this restaurant is only one of two in the United States operated for a Charitable Treatment Center.
