Bloomington Gold 2014

On Saturday June 28 Al & Terri F hosted a drive to this year's Bloomington Gold event in Champaign Il. Those heading out with Al & Terri were members Jerry & Elaine C, Wylie & Rita E, Bill L, and soon to be members Steve & Mary H. Once under way, while going through Pittsboro, the group picked up Mark & Donna S for the winding road trip to the state line instead of using the interstate. After driving the fun roads, the group got on I74 and made their way to the University of Illinois campus, site of this years event. Once there Wylie rented a golf cart for Rita, due to her foot injury, and while there ran in to members Barry R, and Pat H, who along with members Terry & Maggie D, Bill B, Jeff B, and other friends had come over for the day in Barry's Suburban. All of the groups wandered around the grounds checking out the vendors, swap meet, food court, and of course the Bloomington Gold certification of pristine Corvettes. The ladies were of course cruising around in Rita's golf cart with Terri driving and having a great time. Some of the group left mid afternoon while others joined the evenings caravan of around 1100 Corvettes driving around the streets and rural roads around Champaign to Monticello and back.
A great event that will always remain on the Corvette Indy schedule.
