Friday Night Setup
Getting ready for Main Event is a large project, with track preparation taking place on Friday night. At least 25 members showed up to help place cones, stretch cable and generally plan were things were to be placed for Saturday & Sunday's events. We did have to work around cars left in the parking lot and others that were attending an evening track meet. Nothing was in the way to prevent our planning, but there was a lot of concern that all would not be gone in the morning. Even before we packed up for the evening the motor homes of competitors were rolling in to the lot to stay overnight. As most Corvette Indy events, the evening ended up with a few of us dining and chatting at Mo's Irish Pub until the music and crowd got too loud. Plus with an early morning all of the group had to head home to bed! To be young again and know what we know now!
