Region Welcomes Lincoln Highway Tour
On July 7 Barry and Bill & Erika headed to Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn to help welcome a group of Europeans that are touring the US on the Lincoln Highway to celebrate it's 100 years of existence. They were joined by Kris & Denette and Chris's son (in the PT Cruiser) from Derby City Corvette Club of Louisville. The group from Europe included members of the Corvette Club of Norway, which had become a sister club to Derby City CC. Arriving at the museum we found a number of members of the Fort Wayne Corvette Club and Corvette Club of Indiana waiting to greet our guests. The touring group had stayed in Fort Wayne and Sunday had been a rest day for them. While there waiting for the group to arrive we also took the opportunity to visit the museum and look around. Once the group arrived we had a short time with them as they had a luncheon and tour to attend in the museum. They are an interesting group that is taking the month of July to go from New York City to San Fransisco via the original Lincoln Highway.
