Brown County Fun Day 10/5
On Sunday October 5 the Region Sponsored Brown County Fun Day was held at the perennial Brown County State Park location. Coats were very much needed with the day starting off very cool, but the weather cooperating this year with rain holding off and finally warming up a bit as the sun came out. The Corvette Indy group did a caravan to the park starting at Gray Brothers Cafeteria parking lot in Mooresville. The caravan of 11 Corvettes was lead by Butch and Tammy, much like they had done in past years, with the addition of their handing out 'mini' rally sheets for everyone to get a taste of doing an actual rally. Tammy's questions were similar to what might be on a rally sheet, but with a few additional hints especially if you listened to her running cometary on the radio! Of course in a real rally you would be started at 3 minute intervals and allowed to turn around to get an answered that was missed. The trip was uneventful with three couples getting all of the rally questions correct, and two more only missing one. As always the trip down to Brown county was the highlight of the day! Once there we waited around until the noon lunch hour for our hot dog, barbeque, baked beans, chip and drink meal. When that was consumed and everyone had chatted with members from other clubs and each other those that were cold started to leave, with some not staying for the drawings that were held at 1:30. Zoe sent the pictures in of Alan's Corvette with a crowd checking it out.
