Rick's Boathouse 9/25

The Retirees & Hookey player group met at Greg & Donna's to take a drive to Rick's Boathouse. Those joining the hosts were Dick & Bonnie P, Chris & Paula W, Bill & Erika L, Bob Y, Jack H, Jim S, & Wylie E for a total of 8 Corvettes going out and about. After some cider and cookies, as a long drive was anticipated, everyone signed the waver and headed out to their Corvettes. As everyone knows by now it would probably be a 25 minute drive if a direct route was used to Rick's, but the day's route included, after a few Carmel roundabouts, the Williams Creek area and several back roads several times over. So much so that Dick, while playing with his paddle shifter, missed a turn and started his own drive with two others following! With navigator Bonnie, and use of the radio, we got the mini group turned around and back with the rest of us. In his defense, he was having radio issues, which should have had him watching the Vette in front of him even more. After cruising the area and getting dirty looks by joggers the group headed off to Rick's where we were met by Shelly N and later working man Jim N (had made a trip to Ohio in the AM). Everyone had a great time and really appreciated being able to sit outside yet another day this year.
