Strawberry Festival 06/14/14
This years Strawberry Festival held annually in Crawfordsville was on a beautiful early summer day and attended by a number of Corvette Indy Members.
Butch D was the first to send in pictures, with Jeff B & Greg B sending in more pictures and collaborated on the following report.
On an absolutely beautiful day several members of CI attended the Strawberry Festival car show. There were several meeting points. One was at Greg & Donna B's house where Rich & Suzanne B and Jeff B & Charity N met and caravan to a Marathon gas station on Hwy 32 at the SR75 junction. Randy & Sherry S met at Chris & Paula W's house and then drove to a rest stop on I-74 to meet Alan & Judy C and from there they drove to the Marathon to hook up with the rest. Bob & Sherry W, Larry & Joy G, Paul & Londa H met and also caravan to the Marathon. From there Chris led all 9 Corvettes to the show in Crawfordsville. The crew pulled in and all got ready to start detailing as the women headed to shop. After the detailing, the food could be bought with tickets and there was some absolutely good ribs among other food that was consumed. Butch & Tammy D arrived and got settled in and then Mark & Donna S arrived. Club friends Buddy & Lorna H also attended the show in their '59. Overall there were about 20 Corvettes that were in attendance. At 4 p.m. sharp the awards were announced and the winners were Donna B, Jeff B, Chris W, Randy S, Alan C, Butch D, Paul H and Larry G. Once the awards were done the group departed in several directions. Some headed for home, some went to a restaurant to eat, some joined the region DnD to the Wallace Opry.
All had a good time on a beautiful day with Jeff ending his winning day by mowing the lawn!
At the Monday evening meeting it was also noted that Susie & Terry stopped by the show as they were camping near by.
