Harry and Tillie have been married 30 years. Harry was born in Chambersburg, PA and also lived in Ohio before moving to Indiana. Tillie was born in Indianapolis. Harry has lived in the Indy area 52 years and of course Tillie is a native Hoosier. Harry has been retired from Eli Lilly for 7 years and Tillie has been retired from Huntington Bank for 2 years. They love being retired with their favorite things about being retired being the ability to do things that they want to do and no stress. Harry’s interests include boating and hunting and Tillie’s include boating and gardening. They are fairly new members of CI, having only joined this year and they have never been members of any other Corvette Club. They got interested in Corvettes because Harry had always wanted one. His desire began in 1968 and it was because of his brother. Harry’s brother had Corvettes and he has liked them ever since. Currently they own a 2016 C7. Previously, Harry had a 1968, a 1972 and a 1973 but he had not owned a Corvette since 1980 until the C7. Tillie says that the thing that they like best about CI is the people and getting to see all the different Corvettes. They have participated in lots of CI activities and are looking forward to joining in on more. No doubt they will soon have many favorites. Harry’s favorite Corvette story that he shared was his memory of going to Disney World in a brand new 1972 Corvette with his brother
Corvette Indy honored Harry with a final drive Friday August 8.
Led by his wife Tillie and their son a total of 21 Corvettes followed the police escort to the Cemetery.
