Bird's Smokehouse BBQ & Cammack Station
On Sunday April 22 a group of Corvette Indy members met at Bill & Erika's for a Drive N Dine to Bird's Smokehouse BBQ in Daleville. The afternoon was sunny but cool for this time of year. The group consisted of hosts Bill & Erika, Greg & Donna, Rich & Susanne, Susie & Terry, Dean & Zoe, Doug & Arminta, Sarah, Jack, Mark & Donna, Mike & Linda, Brent & his daughter Alissa, and we had new members Ted & Mary join the caravan in route.
The route used mostly back roads going North from Carmel to 236 street, East through Cicero, Strawtown, and North of Anderson to go East across to our first destination of Bird's Smokehouse BBQ. Once there the group enjoyed a leisurely lunch and a good time being together. Brent, who lives in the area, then suggested going to Cammack Station, which is about 10 miles North for ice cream. A smaller group made the trek to this very unusual location, which had great ice cream and a wonderful decor. Cammack may well become a direct destination for a future Drive & Dine as they have a full food menu besides the ice cream. Every one had a great time and are glad to get their Corvettes out and limbered up for the summer.
