Rick's Boatyard 07/22

Greg and Donna waited until the MOST PERFECT Day of the summer to have their first of the 2015 driving season Retiree & Hookey Player Drive N Dine to Rick's Boatyard. At the Monday night meeting they had only a few couples sign up, but by Wednesday afternoon 12 Corvettes and their occupants were at the starting point ready for the drive. The route took us North into Carmel and around the Village of West Clay and then out West on 86th street to check the corn crops in that area. The drive also took us by a golf tournament, but no refreshments were offered to the group as they passed by. With the curvy roads in the mirrors we arrived at Rick's where we were met by a couple of more couples and President Pat, who was NOT playing hookey but on vacation this beautiful afternoon. Everyone had great food, with most making it their main meal of the day. Once done the group headed back to their homes, with many using more back roads to miss the traffic of I465 and other majorly congested roads at rush hour. A great afternoon get together with the Corvette Indy members and some of their friends that enjoy getting together.
