Westfield Rocks the 4th Headliners Car Show
This year's event on July 4th afternoon and evening was attended by a number of members, several who had been in the Carmel Parade earlier in the day. The show brought out it's usual mix of much older hot rods and stock cars plus the typical smattering of multi-year Corvettes whose owners were there to support the show. Among the Corvette Indy members there were Mel and Norma who debuted their newly restored and painted 1936 Ford Cabriolet. It along with Club Corvettes including Ross's '69 Coupe, Bill & Erika's '70 Coupe, Greg & Donna's C5 Coupe, Jeff B's C6, plus Tom K's late 60's Firebird all received well deserved Top 40 awards out of the nearly 130 participants. Also participating in the show were Dick N with his C3, Rhonda K had her C7, besides Donna's coupe Greg had his C5 convertible, Linda W with her Buckskin C3, Chris & Paula W with their '98 convertible, and Rich & Suzanne B displayed their '84 and '06. Other members there were Robert & Judie S, Jim & Pam K and Shelley N, all who stopped by to visit. Also present at the show were club friends John & Mary Ann, Phil & Linda, and Bruce. Unfortunately the number of member's participating were NOT enough to take the Club award as the Circle City VW club was there en mass with 19 cars registered. This year's trophies were again taken by a mix of older cars that the judges prefer to modern rides. As the evening wound down, it was noticed that Jeff's yellow car was attracting many night time visitors in the form of bugs. Soon though they wee blown away as we all left before the fireworks. It was a long day for some and a fun day for all.
