Rita's 2nd Annual Spooktacular Party
Rita and Wylie held their second annual 'Spooktacular' Halloween party on Wednesday October 29. Most of the members that attended were in costume, with several outfits making other members wonder 'who is that masked member' as they circulated around. The party was a great deal of fun as Terry's following recap certainly documents.
WOW the Etschieds really pulled out all the stops Wednesday night for their 2nd Annual Halloween Extravaganza! I could never call the event a mere party because that would not be a fair assessment of the event. The guests were greeted by a headstones and a makeshift coffin in the front yard but it did not stop there! As we approached the front door ( which was blocked by a ghostly figure) we passed a 40th Anniversary Corvette in the driveway with a very slim man behind the wheel ( you could almost call him skeletal) and I think he was trying to take the car for a joy ride! Once inside there was food, fun and festivities not to mention some very strange looking people lined up for hamburgers or hot dogs and a large selection of side dishes. The costumes were judged and Mel and Norma Minion won the best costume prize. I am not sure what the prize was but I think it may have been the refrigerator Rita has been trying to get rid of for more than a year. I would like to mention that none of the costumed guests went as far as the winners did for their costumes. They just happened to buy them while on a cruise last year. Great idea guys!
The party was well attended because one thing I know is this group of people love to eat and have fun. Those in attendance were Jim & Judy Alvis, Mike & Shirley Berry, Greg & Donna Bowron, Frank & Cathy Coolidge, Butch & Tammy Dewitt, Dean & Zoe Dolbee, Al & Terri Forey, Paul & Londa Habecker, Susie Hale, Steve Head, Doug & Arminta Inbody, Jim & Pam Kellum, Erika Lapham, Sarah Lee, Mel & Norma Minion, Jim & Shelley Noelle, Rich & Michelle Peters, Mark & Donna Schlichter, Charlie & Eileen Sherman, Terry Stitzer and Bob & Barb Young. Of course our gracious host and hostess were Wylie & Rita Etscheid.
I am sure I speak for everyone in attendance when I say GREAT PARTY and thanks so much for a wonderful evening!
Thanks to Greg, Jim, and Donna S for all of the pictures that certainly proved that the party did happen!
