Thursday at Mecum

On Thursday May 15 Wylie and Rita went to the auction to check out some potential Corvettes to possibly add one to their collection. Bill & Greg also headed to the show to give support and see what else was available. Wylie was especially interested in checking out C4 ZR-1's, with one going across that afternoon and a number more set for Saturday's auction. The Thursday ZR-1 went for more than Wylie thought it was worth, so did not have Rita bid on it. Once it went through the group headed out to see the other ZR-1s and take a tour through the vendors area to see all of the automotive signs and memorabilia. Among the ZR-1s available on Saturday was a 40th Anniversary model in Dark Ruby Metallic plus a number of Red ones and a White one that Wylie was going to do more research on. It was a gloomy afternoon weather-wise, but warm inside with a lot of great cars to view.
