2014 Corvette Indy Memorial Picnic
The fourth annual memorial picnic was held on Sunday September 14 at a new location of Southeastway Regional Park on the southeast side of Indianapolis off of Carrol road. Most everyone had arrived by the appointed noon hour, except committee member Mike L along with the meat had gone to a park in Noblesville. Once there and no Corvettes in site, he then headed back home to get his phone and directions to the correct location. In reality it did not matter a bit as the new super sized grill that the club had purchased was able to cook 36 hamburgers and a lot of hotdogs at once. This allowed everyone to be eating by 1 with the really hungry ones sampling the plentiful deserts prior to that. The day itself was perfect for a picnic, the sun was out and warming the cool morning start. With the great weather over 55 members several children and two puppies made it to the park to enjoy the outing. A few lawn games were set up, but most had eaten too much to play them much. A lot of fun and a great gathering of Corvette Indy members.
