Twas 2 days before Christmas but only 8 members decided to eat out! Greg & Donna, Bill & Erika, Doug & Arminta, Bill R, and Jim K got there early to beat the Holiday shopping traffic thru-out. Donna, the baking elf, even brought cookies for those that were there to enjoy before heading on their Merry Christmas way.. |

With the Holiday Season coming in to full swing there was still a good group of Corvette Indy members taking advantage of the great steak dinner special at the Ale Emporium. |

A smaller group headed to Ale Emporium after a full house at the previous evening's final meeting of 2014 Those that attended enjoyed the $6.99 Steak Dinner and the scintillating conversation carried on around the tables. |

With the popularity of the $6.95 steak dinner gaining a large group of nearly 30 Corvette Indy members starting arriving early for the evening meal, with Greg & Donna getting there at 5:10 planning to save spaces to find a long table already staked out. Even with the saved spaces those that arrived at 5:30 were seated at a table for 6 to accommodate the overflowing group. As always the dinner was great and the early evening get together a lot of fun. As the Corvette Indy group left the Ale Emporium was really getting busy and the parking lot was overflowing.
Again thanks to Bill & Cheryl R for letting everyone know about the meal and taking this week's pictures to 'prove it happened'!

The weekly dinner at Ale Emporium had another good group of 13 members including two new couples enjoying the unbelievably priced meal of 6oz fillet, soup, salad, and another side for $6.95. Those enjoying the meal and conversations were host Bill R, Greg & Donna B, Doug & Arminta I, Dick & Bonnie P, Susie H & Terry S, and new couples to the experience Kevin & Beth M, and Bill & Erika L. Everyone continually thanked Bill for letting the club members in on this Tuesday evening special, as it is not listed on the menu and not advertised. Hopefully the restaurant will continue with this special through out the fall and winter as it is becoming a weekly event for the club. If you plan on going let Bill R or Greg know so they can arrange for seating the club members together.

In what has quickly become a weekly event, Greg & Donna B, Jim & Judi A, Bill R, Doug & Arminta I, Dick & Bonnie P, Susie H & Terry S, Terry A and Al & Terry F met at the Ale Emporium for the Tuesday night steak special (a 6oz bacon wrapped filet, salad, soup and side for $6.99). The food and service was great and the company and conversation was even better. As usual the group had a great time and look forward to doing it again! Many topics were discussed with Arminta's freshly dislocated shoulder after tripping on her dog this morning topping the list! We wish her a speedy recovery back to full use of the arm!

Bill & Cheryl R introduced Greg & Donna B to a regular Tuesday night dinner special at the Ale Emporium ( 8617 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250, entrance off 86th Street just east of Allisonville Rd). They have a bacon wrapped 6oz steak fillet for $6.99 which includes soup, salad and one side. Very tasty and a great price! They've started going every week and Greg sent an email out inviting anyone that was interested to join in. Rich & Suzanne B, Wylie & Rita E, Susie H & Terry S, William & Sharon A, Bill R and friend John W, John & Ruth V joined Greg & Donna on Tuesday, September 30th for good food and conversation. It will become a regular event there at 5:30pm on Tuesdays!
After dinner Wylie & Rita went with Greg & Donna across the street to Harbor Freight for some good buys on stuff they probably didn't need. The Harbor Freight visit cost more than dinner. |
