Trip to Rick's Boatyard
With the weather being absolutely beautiful all weekend Greg called an audible and made a great decision to take advantage of the amazing weather and a chance to spend time with good friends at Rick's Boatyard. The caravan started at Greg and Donna's and in attendance was Doug & Arminta I, Rich & Suzanne B, Darrell & Beth H, Jim & Shelley N, Erika L, Chris W and Jeff B. During the trip a Carmel roundabout was taken over by the group as they circled multiple times while waiting for a lost member who did not have a radio. Once the group was back together they made a quick escape out of Carmel to avoid the wrath of held up drivers. From Carmel Greg led the group out to his 'secret' county road route. After some nice windy roads where the suspension was put to the test and massive amounts of carbon were blown out we finally made it to our destination where Mark & Donna S and Paula W met us for a wonderful lunch with a view. See below for the Drive N Dip part of the day's outing.
Second Leg to Zionsville DQ
There seems to be something about Dairy Queen that completes a good lunch as Greg & Donna, Mark & Donna, Doug & Arminta, Darrel & Beth, Jim & Shelley, Erika, and Jeff made there way to DQ in Zionsville for the second day in a row. With this becoming a regular impromptu happening they have been dubbed Drive N Dip. To have a Drive N Dip, you need a new leader from the initial Drive N Dine or other event location to the new destination for ice cream.
To meet the criteria they had Mark in the lead and taking a non direct route to Zionsville for the Drive N Dip section of the day.
Overall today was a great day where good friends got together and shared good times.
