Huntington Knights of Columbus
On Saturday October 17 founding members William & Sharon Arnold held a Drive N Dine to the Knights of Columbus in Huntington, IN. Along with the group that met at the Noblesville Home Depot for the drive Bob Y was also there to hold a 'tail gate' send off party of donuts and apple cider to help the Arnold's who were hosting their first event since returning to the club. The morning was cold but still had a good showing of club members and guests for a total of 15 Corvettes that headed North to the K of C destination to support their Knights Building Parishes program. Part of the day's events was a raffle of a 1987 C4 Corvette Coupe, which had first brought the club into being involved with the event with many members purchasing tickets. The route to Huntington was North on 13 and 213 and back on 13 to wind their way to the Salomone River State Park for a planned and much needed pit stop. Before getting to and while driving in the park Bald Eagles along with Turkey Buzzards were sighted roosting and flying around. After the rest stop and picking up John A as our new leader the group headed into Huntington and by the sunken gardens before heading to the K of C on the Northwest side. Once there everyone purchased their dinner of either pork chop or fish and had a great time in the very nice setting of the club's dinning room. Since the Corvette drawing was not until 7 in the evening most everyone headed back to the Indianapolis area a little after 2pm either by US24 to US31 or IN5 to I69. Everyone had a great time and there will be several near their phone at 7 to hear if they are the winner of the Corvette.

The Priest from a Catholic Church in Huntington pulled the winning ticket!! Congrats to John!
