​2018 Corvette Indy Christmas Party 12/08

This year's party was at the Carmel American Legion post with 106 members enjoying the evening of a great dinner and DJ'd music entertaining the group. Mary's catering included ribs and chicken main dishes along with a number of sides for everyone to enjoy before dancing and joining in on Christmas song sing-along as the evening progressed. The number of toys collected for the Legion's toy drive was also great, with a huge teddy bear among the pile of presents. Santa made an early appearance so a number of members could get a picture sitting with him before dinner. For those that wonder, his beard is real! After dinner the evening started with dancing, which was enjoyed by everyone. Later in the evening Gregg Ernest read the Corvette Indy version of Night Before Christmas, which will be printed in the next newsletter for everyone's enjoyment. The evening continued with more dancing, Christmas Carol and karaoke singing to finish out the night. This year there actually was a Corvette that attend as Mel & Norma drove their C7 on the dry, but possibly salty, streets. The first pictures are of our great decorating committee which did a beautiful job with the next two of why the Jim & Shelly didn't try to come from NC as they have in past years.
