Bookers II 05/13

On the first nice day for a Hookey Player Drive N Dine, which seemed like it had been at least month since the last one (IT HAD!), was held on Friday the 13 for a pent up group of Corvette Indy Members. 14 Corvettes met at Bill and Erika's, this added to their 2 as they were bringing FCOA member Mitchell along for the ride. This made for a total of 16 Corvettes winding their way to Kirklin and Bookers restaurant. The trip up included a small section of Mule Barn Road and the curves of IN 38, for a sunny day drive. Once there they were treated to a newly opened room to use as their own, which held the total of 34 members including the two couples that met us there. Those able to go were hosts Bill & Erika Lapham and grandson Mitchell, John & Marg Herder, Mike & Linda Tann, Jack Houtman, Phil & Anita Vickery (along with their puppy), Al & Teri Forey, Dick & Karen Higgins, Tom & Nancy Piercy, Bob & Carol Potter, Dick & Bonnie Pacetti, Bob & Sherry Wilbert, Greg & Donna Bowron, Doug & Arminta Inbody, new members Lou & Jeri Green (on their first DnD), and late arrivals Susie Hale & Terry Sitzer (only 3 minutes but it counts). Jim & Pam Kellam along with Keith & Jan Riley were the 2 couples that met us in Kirklin. A majority of the group took advantage of he Friday fish special and the prepared early for the club baked potatoes. Bookers was also kind enough to donate a $30 gift certificate to be used at the Main Event drawings to finish out this great afternoon outing.
