2015 Penske Car Show

This year's Penske Sponsored Car Show was held on June 20 at a new location of the Carmel American Legion. In past years the show was held at the dealership but with growing space issues of having to move enough new cars to make room for the growing club the show was moved. By moving the show to the Legion it allowed the show to be opened to non member Corvettes as well as club member Vettes. With the weather very cloudy and chances of rain on a humid day it still brought over 60 member and 68 non member Corvettes out. With anticipation of the added number of entrants Penske had purchased two completed sets of trophies for member & non member, with each being in their own separate classes. Judging was done by each group on the other group's. Due to the number of entrants, sub classes were even formed during tabulations for early and late years in several of the model destinations. There were also 2 Commanders Choice Best in Show and 2 Penske Choice Best in Show 1 each for member & non member entrants. Tabulation took a bit of time, as the club had never had that many entrants and classes to calculate. Next year will most likely run smoother.
The show was still done by four with no rain and everyone headed home nice and dry.
