Al's Summer Projects
I recently completed a few upgrade projects for my 2001.
To jazz up the engine a little, I ordered chrome vinyl characters to apply to the fuel rail covers from Corvette America. After installing the chrome "Corvette" letters over the depressions in the rail covers, I decided that the red border remaining around the letters looked like......bad. I peeled them back off and threw them away (see photo).
I did successfully install the chrome stripes and "5.7 L" (see photo of the former model car builder at work in the kitchen. I am going to remodel her kitchen anyway.)
I have been changing-out the existing bulbs with the new LED's.
The latest mod is LED fog lights, under hood light, and switch-back parking/running lights. switchbacks are shown in night prowler mode, but temporarily flash amber when turn signal is used. (See photo. Fog lights were not actually on, but registered the camera flash. Two lights in right background are either a UFO or my neighbors porch lights).
