Stone Creek 05/24

On a sunny but cool Friday the Retirees & Hookey players got together for an afternoon drive from Bill & Erika's house through side roads and streets around Carmel and Zionsville. We made the short 4 mile trip in to a 18 mile journey. The start of the afternoon had Bob H arriving in his newly purchased '04 Black Convertible with Tan top and Light Oak / Black interior. Erika & Bill quickly felt that his plate ought to be BlknTan, which he will think about doing. Bob had gotten there early to get some pictures taken of his new baby. Then Greg & Donna pulled up in Donna's seldom seen patriotic themed coupe as there was not a cloud in the sky, which is why 'Ruby' Bill & Erika's '70 coupe got to lead the group. As we continued looking at Bob's car, more attendees pulled up including Greg T, Wylie E, Dean & Zoe D, Jim & Judy A, Jack H, new member Kevin M, and Terry S on his trusty motorcycle. Bob had not planned on driving along as he had a previous engagement, but we convinced him to tag along for most of the drive. He left before getting to Stone Creek along with Dean & Zoe who had grandchildren duty this afternoon. Once there we met up with Shelly N (Jim had a trip to Cleveland for a car swap), Bob Young, and Dick & Bonnie P. It was good to see Dick & Bonnie and their new C6 in the parking lot as it was Dick's first time out with it since breaking his foot. We all had a good time and great meal, with most saying there would not be much eaten at dinner tonight. When everyone was getting ready to leave they all were looking forward to next Wednesday's (5/29) Retirees & Hookey players trip to the Beef House in Covington, IN, a multi-hour trip.
