Hoosier Corvette Club Show - 04/22
Know Your Corvette Challenge
Marion Cole competed in the bit different event and sent in the following report and pictures:
Hi, Bill - just got home from the subject event, which was like no other car show I've attended.
There were twenty questions to be answered regarding your own personal car, plus another 15 tie-breaker questions for the trophies, First, Second, and Third.
Paul Habecker won Second Place in those tests, while two others from the Classical Glass Club won First and Third. Hoosier Corvette Club had some really nice raffle items, and a 50/50 paid out $30. Small showing because of the cloudy skies and cool temps. About 10 cars showed up in total.
Marian Cole went shopping while there and "donated" enough to win the People's Choice Award - more fun than Macy's, for sure! :-) Came out ahead because I also won the 50/50!
Anyway, it was a nice way to spend a cloudy cold April morning, and the car never received a drop of rain!! :-)
Paul also sent in the following about the show:
Bill, this photo was from this mornings corvette show at Marian University “Challenge-2017 for BATCOLE Foundation” (Fight pediatric cancer) . Cars were not judged, awards were for knowledge of ‘your car, 20 questions :exp. how many miles? What does gas gauge currently show? how many logos or badges on drivers side? Dip stick on right or left? What is current air pressure on left front tire? You get the idea. There was a 15 trivia question sheet to break any ties. I got second place (see photo). There was also a peoples choice award that you bought votes for, $20 for 40 votes, $10 for 20 votes. So whoever bought the most votes won the People’s Choice. Marian Cole ended up with it. I know – weird. I will scan the trivia page and send it to you, maybe we can use it in future.
