Sunday Delphi Trip
After the multiple planning trips and finding lots to enjoy in the Delphi area Bob & Barb's trip to Delphi on 10/13 was a great finale! The day was a beautiful one with lots of sun and not a cloud in the sky for a fall day trip. The members and guests arrived at the SR 32 Kroger before the 11 starting time with 12 Corvettes, 1 BMW, and 1 Jag in the mix. The Corvette Indy members that made the trip were hosts Bob & Barb Y, Jan & Bob B, Frank & Cathy C, Darrell & Beth H, Jim & Pam K, Bill & Erika L, Jim & Bonnie S, Brent & Betty W, Jack H, and Greg T. One of the Corvettes (C3) belonged to Rob & Judy F who represented the Porsche Club of America, the red C4 was Joe & Candee W's who are friends of Bob & Barb, while the two metal cars were Kashif R (BMW) and Valentin (Jag) both from the Hoosier BMW Club of America. Bob had planned for this joint club drive for some time and what a success. Other than good nature fun being poked back and forth, those in the other clubs enjoy cars just as much as our members do. The drive up was rather uneventful other than encountering farm equipment on roads too narrow to get around them, but each time it was only for a few miles. Once in Delphi our first stop was at the Canal Museum and then on to the country club for lunch. After lunch we headed out to Towpath Road and the scenic drive along parts of the canal and river. Once off of the scenic drive we headed south out of Logansport down 29 to 421 and the Indianapolis area, with cars leaving the group as they crossed more direct routes home. A great day for the combined club trip and the start of having more clubs doing drives together. Bill & Erika's are pictures below with Jim & Bonnie's on the Z06 View page.
