Robert's C4 Upgrade
Robert got his C4 upgraded with new shocks, brake rotors, and brake pads getting it ready for the new season of autocross that will soon start. With Greg's guidance, Robert's muscle, Bill giving a hand and Jim checking things out the project was done in one afternoon. The upgraded parts were Bilstein shocks, Baer slotted and drilled rotors along with Baer brake pads completed the project. The brake changing was hampered a bit by the lack of an 18mm wrench. Note that this size in not usually in metric wrench kits but used on a number of the brake bolts for both C4 and C5's, be sure to have both a 18mm wrench and socket available if you are contemplating doing your own brake work. With his new pads we will see Robert driving around the area being easy on the brakes as he needs to seat the pads in before he can 'season' the rotors and be ready for more aggressive driving on the autocross course.
Greg's final comment on the project was that Robert will now need to get some new wheels with an open design so everyone can see his shinny new rotors.
