​Vettes for Vets 05/06

What has become an annual event for the two Lafayette Corvette clubs was held on a beautiful Spring day. Certainly a change from what the weather has been for the past few weeks. A group met at McAlisters and headed up 31 to 43 to arrive at the assembly point. Once everyone had their Vettes spiffed up and had a hot dog that the members of Star City & Lafayette Corvettes clubs had prepared the long line of Corvettes headed to the Indiana Veterans Home. Once at the home the veterans were able to inspect the cars and remember when.. There was also a flag ceremony that was respectively enjoyed by all. The members also presented the club's $500 donation to the organizers. Wylie & Rita led the group of members that made the drive from Indy. Those able to attend were Harry & Tille Barthalow, Gary & Marian Cole, Bob & Cindy Hensley, John & Marg Herder, Mark Hilligoss, Al Forey, Jeff & Sally Lohss, Mark & Jan Rothrock, Steve Shepard, Charlie Sherman, John & Ruth Vess, Bob & Sherry Wilbert, Ray & Sherry Chester, Jim Shaver, and Bill Stafford.
