Kellam's 2014 Bonfire & Dinner

On Saturday evening of October 11, Pam and Jim held their annual club party with another huge bonfire outside and chili served in there spacious garage inside. Besides the provided chili and fixings the nearly 50 club members brought many side dishes and an enormous amount of desserts. Pam had made two types of chili, beef and chicken, with many 'chickening out' on the chicken version as it was said by Pam to be hotly spiced at Jim's request. The evening was dry but heading towards cold as the circle around the bonfire kept closing in as members left. Bus and Blue were out in their yard enjoying the attention and sometimes 'treats' provided by members coming over to see them. While the preparations for serving the dinner were being made several members watched the ND football game on the TV in the garage. With the closeness of the game, dinner was not served until it was nearly over. Also prior to dinner everyone got either a place inside staked out, or a spot out by the bonfire which warm. As the evening wound down it was observed that one side of the fire circle was warmer than the other, but it was said that that side had more ASH on it not the miss understood word that some thought. With members getting colder as the evening progressed the group started slowly breaking up and for home after a very enjoyable evening. The club genuinely appreciates the work that Jim and Pam put in to providing a great fall event each year.
