​Door County  - Tuesday 9/12

Tuesday was a travel day to Church Hill Inn starting in Westfield under cloudy skies and a bit cool but with a lot of enthusiasm. With Mark & Donna heading directly from their house the 11 Corvettes headed North a bit after the appointed 8 AM departure time. Once underway the group headed up US 31 and across US 30 to IN 49 to the toll road to miss the construction of I-65. Along the way the group stopped at the Love station in Plymouth and then the last oasis on the toll road in Indiana to regroup after some got hung up at the toll booth. From the toll road they took the Skyway to I-90 to lunch at Potbelly in Northbrook after find enough parking for the 11 Corvettes. Once done with lunch the group headed North to more tolls along I-294 and then in to toll free and better roads of Wisconsin. Another stop was made near Green Bay where most everyone refueled with gas and snacks including ice cream cones. The final run was made to Sister Bay and the Church Hill Inn Bed & Breakfast under sunny skies with the day's mileage total at 476. Arriving around 5 local time gave everyone time to relax a bit before heading to dinner 'down the hill' which later turned out to be a 11% grade. Dinner was plentiful and good with a lot of choices for everyone to make. Once done the group hiked back up the hill and to bed to be ready for the next day's busy schedule.
