Friday Evening At Champps

On Friday, July 18th, Greg & Donna B decided to drop their puppy, Merlin, off for a bath at PetSmart for a 5pm appointment. PetSmart needed 3 hours so they decided what better way to wait this out then have a leisurely dinner with friends? Greg sent out a club invite to join them for dinner at Champps outside on the back deck by the water and 12 other club members decided to join them. Greg & Donna, Bill & Erika L, Jim & Shelley N, Rich P, Gregg T, Wylie & Rita E, Susie H & Terry S and new members John & Ruth V met at 5:30PM and enjoyed food, drink and conversation on a beautiful evening until about 8:15PM. They virtually had the deck to themselves and as usual had a great time. Now Merlin's night was a different story! While Greg & Donna were relaxing on the deck, Merlin was getting scrubbed, rinsed, dried, brushed and his nails ground. The groomer said everything scared him so he was very happy to see Mommy & Daddy spring him and take him home and away from that torture parlor! Poor little guy, little did he know he was headed right back there first thing in the morning for Doggie Daycare while Greg & Donna head off to Brown County for a Corvette Show but that's another story...
