Labor Day Fish Trip 09/05

With the Labor Day Weekend having the best weather of the summer Greg & Donna hosted a Drive N Dine to take advantage not only of the weather but the Monday fish dinner 2 for one deal at Claddagh Irish Pub. This is the first time this year for a DnD there, which is a surprise as we usually try to take advantage of the fish deal several times a year. A group of members with 10 Corvettes met at Greg & Donna's house for a snack and relaxing time before heading out on a trek through the roundabouts of Carmel for an extended trip to 96th street. Unfortunately Susie didn't abide by the first rule of a club caravan which is 'follow the Vette if front of you". When we got to the Spring Mill / 96th roundabout she took the second exit going North on Spring Mill as those in front and behind her followed leader Greg West on 96th. With judicious use of roundabouts she was soon back with the group and our continuous tour of Carmel and Westfield. The group finally made their way over to Hazel Dell and then down to 96th and our destination after an hours drive. There we met a few more members for a good group at the restaurant with many taking advantage of the special, but everyone having a good meal and a lot of fun on the last day of the holiday weekend. With better weather hopefully there will be more DnD's this Fall.
