B.T.H.A.F. Corvette Car Show

On Sunday August 23 the 2nd Annual B.T.H.A.F. Corvette Car Show, also know as the Discount Tire Show was held at the store in Plainfield run by Levi a great friend of the Corvette Indy Club. The shows proceeds benefit the Bruce T. Halle Assistance Fund which assists employees of Discount Tire throughout the country. About 25 Vettes showed up which included some new prospective club members so it was a "working event" that kept Tammy, our membership director, busy! Levi and his associates had many raffle and door prizes and awarded Top 20 trophies so most folks took hardware home. The weather held off so no one got wet and a nice breeze kept the sunny day at comfortable temperatures. The attendees did their best to eat all the hot dogs and chips that Levi provided but needed a little more help! With 15 Vettes in Michigan on another club outing attendance was a little down from last year but everyone had a great time as usual and are looking forward to next year's event. Also Bill R won the set of wheels donated by Discount Tire. They are for a C6 or C7 and he will soon be selling them as Cheryl won't let him buy a new Corvette to put hem on! A fun afternoon for those that attended, even with a number of members missing due to the Mackinaw Trip, and all looking forward to next year's even.
