​Christmas in July II 7/14

 Charlie and Eileen Sherman held their second Christmas in July party at the American Legion, which will now officially become an annual event! Seventy seven members had signed up and most of them were there, including Jim & Shelley flying in NC, which nearly filled up the legion banquet hall. Everyone dressed for the occasion, with some going full Hawaiian with skirts and hats. Jamie, our party DJ, was again there 'spinning' the hits for dinning listening and karaoke singers. Greg out did himself impersonating Elvis, especially aided by his backup group of Terri, Rita, & Sherry who preformed under several group names. Other singers were John and our host Charlie and later Tom joined in for duets. Bud and Shep did a bit of a song routine and it was noted that Bud actually embarrassed Shep! Obviously a hard act to follow. The fun continued until nearly 10, with lots of continuous karaoke and much laughter. Pictures were taken by the Christmas tree as guests left. By the way the buffet was Mary's usual great meal with fried chicken and pulled pork for the main dish and pineapple ​upside down cake as a special dessert treat that everyone enjoyed.
