Corvette Day at West Clay 7/1
On the first day of the July 4th Holiday Week the Village of West Clay through John Vess invited Corvette Indy members to have a mini car show in the center of the village. Parking along the shady Southwest side of the meeting house the 33 Corvettes were colorfully displayed for the enjoyment of the residents that walked and drove by. Most everyone set their chairs up under the shade trees, as the day was excessively hot, for a leisurely structured afternoon. Before long many of them headed off to one of the nearby restaurants, that were supporting the show, for lunch and to hopefully get some air conditioning too. Once done eating, the group rearranged their chairs to keep in the shade and appreciated the breeze that was lightly blowing by. In lieu of trophies the Village of West Clay is making donations to our two main charities Pets Healing Vets and Spina Bifida of a $100 to each. Corvette Indy really appreciates the organizers for setting up a fun afternoon and making the generous donations to our main charities. Hopefully we can have return date in the fall when the trees are turning and a 'bit' cooler.
