​Penske BBQ I 04/01

The 'Not April Fool's' BBQ was held on what turned out to be a bit cooler and cloudy morning with the sun finally popping through as the afternoon progressed. The two new 10 x 10 tents were setup and in full operation at their debut event. The club really appreciates the purchase of them by Penske as they will be well used at many upcoming Corvette Indy events including Main Event in April, Penske Car Show in August, and all of the BBQ Saturdays. Even with the cooler weather many members brought out their Corvettes and helping hands to prepare and enjoy the burgers and hot dogs. There was also the surprise addition of pulled pork brought in by members Ray & Nikki Hieston. This is the same 'famous Ray's' pulled pork that was at the Advance Indiana Cruise In last summer. If you missed out look for another batch of the pulled pork to be available on the Saturday of Main Event. After feeding the members, full Penske staff, and numerous customers the group wrapped up a little before three after cooking a third round of burgers for the continuously hungry group. Look for another BBQ as we progress in to the late spring as it is a great way to meet other members and have a great lunch. Again thanks to Penske for being such a great sponsor and supplying the club with items to make Corvette Indy and Penske a success.
