Al's Borla Exhaust
On 12/20, the Saturday before Christmas Al gave his Yellow Z51 an early Christmas present of a new exhaust system. After gathering some 'helpers' at the morning's Drive N Dunk, Al along with the group headed to Greg's house and an open lift. The following report is from Wylie, who was there to document and take pictures:
The Al Forey exhaust project went off on Saturday 12/20/14. Actually the boys were done in a little over an hour. It would have been quicker but for Merlin eating his bed and Homer and Jethro taking over for a few minutes until Rich Belville straightened things out. Jethro would still be tightening the bolts on the sway bar if Rich hadn't mentioned to Homer that he might want to put a wrench on the back side nut. Soon Greg and Al had things complete and the new Borla system had a nice deep bass sound to it that I am sure Terri will love !
On Sunday Al sent the additional write up:
After researching for almost a year, Al F finally pulled the trigger on the after-market exhaust system for his C5. Removing the stock cat-back exhaust system and Installing the new Borla stinger system were Al F and Greg B. The project only consumed a little over an hour, including the usual testosterone divergence and terse words for Merlin (he didn't comprehend). Also on hand were Wylie E and Rich B for moral support, ancillary male bonding, and documentation photos. I let Terri drive it on the interstate. She registered a thumbs up
We will still be awaiting a Tales from Terry for her report on the new sound!
