The weather for the meeting with the season's first measurable snow was enough to keep Corvettes away but not the hardy Corvette Indy members including 6 new and 1 former member who joined the club for the upcoming 2015 season. The evenings business included going over the past few week's events including the Veterans Day Parade and trip to Ray's Classic Cars. Upcoming events include the Club's Christmas party on December 6 at the Carmel American Legion with over 120 members planning on attending. Other events include the weekly Drive N Dunks, and short notice "Dines" with Corvette driving is about done for awhile. New business included making donations to Spina Bifida for their Christmas party and family and to the Wheeler Mission to support their continuous good works. Another great meeting with Corvette friends.
Thanks to Jack and Butch for the meeting pictures.
The Hawk pictured below was not at the meeting, but having it's evening meal at a member's house.

With a nearly perfect early November evening 30 Corvettes and 72 members attended the meeting where next year's officers were elected. We also added a new member bringing us to 221 members for the year. The back room of Champps was very full and fairly noisy as the meeting started a bit early so that the evenings business could be conducted and members head for home to watch the Colts. The previous meeting's slate of candidates was basically approved as there were no new nominations. Other items covered were the upcoming Veterans Day Parade and Christmas Party also the previous week's Trip to Overlook and the Halloween Spooktacular party, both of which got their hosts new beads as part of the Bead Club. Appreciation plaques were also given out to this year's officers and appointed positions for their service. The meeting was quick, even with all of the business conducted and members headed home in time for the game to start.

The day finally turned sunny and 18 Corvettes made their way to Champps along with over 65 members and guests, including two new members that just signed up, for a total of 219 members going into renewals. After the usual evening social time the meeting started where recent events were discussed including the past weekend's rallies, several Drive N Dines, and the Butler Parade recap. There was also note of upcoming events including Great Pumpkin Weekend, Susie's trip to the Ohio river area, Veterans Parade, and Christmas party with 116 signed up. In new business nominations for all of the 2015 officer positions were opened up for the first round. All positions except one have a nominee with nominations being reopened at the November 3 meeting and elections held upon their close that evening. Even with all of the items covered the meeting was a short 45 minutes. As the meeting broke up the members found their Corvettes a bit damp as it had just started to sprinkle, so everyone hustled for home.

With the chance of storms a few members left their Corvettes at home while a number of others did not listen to the weather and brought theirs out. Fortunately the predicted hail did not come and all the Corvettes got home safely. The Christmas party now has 114 signed up December 6 party. We also gained a new member at the meeting taking us to 216. Brown County Fun day was discussed with Butch & Tammy giving out prizes to the three couples that answered all of the rally questions with everyone else that participated getting a certificate. Upcoming events were also discussed including the Michiana Rallies next Saturday, the Fall Tour on Sunday and Susie's upcoming trip to Overlook. A busy fall full of events before the Corvettes are put away for their winter rest. Officer nominations will be open next meeting with elections October 3. Unfortunately no pictures of the evening were submitted.

On a special night of Tuesday the day after Labor Day Monday the Corvette Indy meeting was held at Champps. It was a beautiful evening for Corvette Indy members to drive to the September 2 meeting. The big attraction was Carol and Keith S.'s new 2015 Stingray, the first for the club. Members were giving it a careful look-see and did notice some subtle changes. Al F became the newest member of the 'out of gas' club for very nearly running out of gas while in Bowling Green last Thursday before dinner at Montana Grille. The meeting also covered the past few weeks events including the NCM 20th Anniversary Tour and the upcoming Zionsville Parade on Saturday September 6 and the drive to Ertel's Winery on Sunday September 7.

With the summer evening predicting possible rain the Corvette count at 5 was low but 69 members and guests still headed to Champps for the first meeting in July. The meeting covered a number of items, including the busy preceding weeks of parades and car shows, with a Corvette count of 38 in the Carmel Parade as an example of club participation. At the Westfield Rocks the 4th show Mel had received a trophy for 'Oldest Participant', an award many will aspire to win in future years. Upcoming events were discussed including Lincoln Tech's Car Show and the Anderson Rallies on Saturday July 12. Plans continue for the 25th Anniversary Dinner, and other future events including weekend Drive N Dines. The meeting also recognized a couple of new members to the battery club as President of the club Dick P presented the moving trophy to Jim A as VP and Bob Y is now Treasurer. Dick also gave the gas can award to Jeff B as Jeff needed to fill up on a recent cruise. This also cleaned out Dick's garage of awards. The first meeting of March was held on another extremely cold evening, but the fire in the hearth warmed the 60 plus members and guests in attendance. The meeting started on time with Greg getting the officers reports during which Merchandise Director Arminta said that she will be taking orders for the Main Event T Shirts as only one mass order will be placed to obtain the best price for them. She is also taking orders for 25th Anniversary Patches in multiple color choices. New Governor Butch then discussed several items from the previous weekend's Indian Region governors meeting, where we found out that we are one member behind the Fort Wayne Corvette Club, historically the region's largest club. The meeting then moved on to a bit more discussion about the 25th Anniversary Dinner which will be held on August 16 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel. There will be a choice from a couple of menu items, with more information coming at subsequent meetings.

The first meeting of February was on a nice sunny day but cold evening that kept the member count down to 60, including 2 new members. This puts the club over the 150 member mark! Reports were fairly quick with the previous and upcoming Winter parties mentioned. A large part of the meeting was finalizing which venue to go to for our 25 Anniversary Celebration Dinner with the Ritz Charles being voted in. The date for the dinner is August 16, a Saturday evening. This will be a huge event, with Corvettes on display inside the Ritz! Other meeting topics included the Penske Car Show and the Lincoln Car Show with the information that Bill Zimmerman has retired and we now have new and very enthusiastic contacts at the school. Carolyn J also celebrated her birthday with a huge slice of ice cream cake, which she generously shared with others near her. Another great meeting at Champps!
The first meeting of February was on a nice sunny day but cold evening that kept the member count down to 60, including 2 new members. This puts the club over the 150 member mark! The second meeting of January, first one for many years, was attended by 40 members, including a new one! Pat reported that we are now up to 149 members, a really good start to the year. The meeting was fairly short with the main topic being initial plans for a 25th Anniversary Dinner with the group voting that is should be held on a Saturday, if possible. More will be discussed, including potential dates, at the February 3 meeting. Upcoming events were announced, with the previous weekend party now scheduled for the 25th, and the second Winter party still scheduled for February 8. Al returned his C7 poster that he won at the Christmas party and had it raffled off for the charity fund with Barry winning it.

It was the first meeting of the year, but held three days late due to the beginning of the year snow storm and subzero temperatures that followed. With the changed date and snowing there were only 26 hardy members who had cabin fever and needed to get out. Those attending were treated to a short meeting with mainly discussion about our 25th Club Anniversary dinner this summer and a couple of possible venues locations. More will be discussed at the next meeting We also had Judi A offer to make a commemorative quilt from donated T shirts for an 25th anniversary charity raffle. Our sponsor, Penske Chevrolet, was also thanked for supplying the majority of the 60 tickets made available to members for the 2014 Indianapolis Auto Show!
