"Jack is Back" Drive to Wolfies
On July 16 Bill & Erika held a Retirees & Hookey Player drive n dine to Wolfies Waterfront Grill on Morris Reservoir in Noblesville. Jack H was able to finally join us after being in the Northern Wilds of Michigan for 3 weeks so they made it the "Jack is Back" Drive N Dine to commemorate his return. Along with Jack those able to come along were Jim & Shelley N, Jim S & Bonnie, Jerry & Betty H, Bob W, Wylie E, true hookey players Al & Terri F. Jack had not seen Jim's C7, so was given the 'tour' of the new Z51. Jack made the 'mistake' of sitting in it, and is now starting to think he should have one too! The magic spell has been woven. Once everyone was ready to go the group headed out to Eagle Creek Ave for the usual trek North. They did not go to Mule Barn Road, as IN 32 was being repaved from Spring Mill west. They wound their way down to 161st over to Spring Mill and up to 6 Points Road before using IN38 to get across US31. From there they headed up Anthony Road and then snaked their way over to their destination on the reservoir. Once there they parked along with a Red Mercedes convertible, which was not the one they had followed for a while on 6 Points Road. Very unusual to see two Red mid '80s Mercedes out and about, but then it was a beautiful day with little chance of rain. The group decided to sit inside and basically had the restaurant to themselves, although service was a little delayed due to those eating on the patio. The group got done around 4, which turned out to be a good time to leave, since the evening boaters were starting to pull in and would be clogging up the parking lot. A fun afternoon with lots of car show and other event discussions taking place.
