Trip to L. A. Cafe
On August 5 a small group met at Bill & Erika's to have an afternoon drive and lunch. Our initial destination was to be Rick's Cafe, but once assembled L A Cafe in Whitestown was mentioned as an alternate drive. Since Greg & Donna were unable to attend, and Greg knows the BEST back roads to Rick's, we decided to change destinations and head West. Our small group consisted of Bill & Erika, Dick & Bonnie, Glenn (a welcomed guest), and Jack (a potential new member for Corvette Indy). The pictures for this event show only three Vettes as Dick drove their metal car due to an exhaust pipe issue on his C4. He was relagated to the back of the group, but as with ANY Corvette Indy event we want the members to attend even if their usual ride is ill.
Due to our change in destination we were able to use the ever popular Little Eagle Creek Avenue route to IN 32. Once on IN 32 it was a straight shot West to the Whitestown road and then South. Once there, we had a great lunch and of course good conservation. Another fun afternoon, and Rick's is still a potential destination for our next Retiree's and Hooky Players Drive n Dine.
