Day 3 - Around the Area

Bil & Erika decided to skip the trip to the Tail and check out a condo in Pigeon Forge that they might use with their family next summer. Also, there was the huge number of the cars descending on Pigeon Forge for the weekend annual show. The sidewalks were lined with chairs and lots of cars parked along the main strip of the town. They also checked out the Gatlinburg area as they had not been there for over 12 years. Among the new venues is the Park Vista Hotel on top of the hill overlooking the town. It is quite spectacular, especially the road up to it. Robert mentioned later that there is a Corvette show in the fall at the hotel, must be a great sight. They also walked around downtown and found a NASCAR themed store that carried Corvette shirts that they had not seen before, but now own many of them. After the group got back from the Tail trip they all went to dinner for a great end of the evening.
