2016 Memorial Picnic 9/11
Our 6th annual Memorial Picnic had special meaning as it was also the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on our country. A good group was there at Southeastway Park for the Noon time start with Diana Albright leading the members in a remembrance prayer for past members and others. From that meaningful beginning the assembled group lined up for the freshly cooked burgers, brats, and hot dogs along with many salads and a large number of deserts. As in past years Mike, Brent, Jim, and Tom did the cooking on the club's grill with their usual great results. Also at the picnic Paul presented the plaque that the club had received from the NCM for the recent work weekend to Wylie. As with others it will soon be displayed in the Penske service area's display case. Members continued to fill themselves with the plentiful food and enjoyed the beautiful early fall day and comradeship of the club members there. Soon many headed off to do other things as the afternoon progressed. With the Colts in town, but a late start, Brent did not bring his TV and Dish this year for the game as everyone left in time to get home and see the game if they wanted to. Everyone turned right out of the lot including Ross who was one way challenged on the way in.
