St Patty's at MCL 03/17

For this year's St. Paddy's Day Greg & Donna Bowron called for a dine only at MCL cafeteria in Carmel at 2:30 in the afternoon as the earlier in the week forecast had 40% rain potential called for. Well, the weather people again missed the call as it was another beautiful March day with lots of sun and temps in the 60's. With the positive change in the day 6 of the members attending arrived in their Corvettes, enjoying the early in the year drive time. Along with the hosts those making it there were Jim & Shelley Noelle, Bill & Erika Lapham, Jim & Judi Alvis, Bob & Sherry Wilbert, Phil & Anita Vickery, Bill Reynolds, Keith Riley, Linda White, and Wylie & Rita Etscheid (with Wylie just getting back to town from his baseball trip at 3 in the morning). With a group that large the side room was appropriated so that the normal discussions would not bother the other patrons. Once heading to the food line some of the group had the corned beef special while others made use of the full cafeteria menu to make their choices for a great mix of meals. The afternoon continued on until nearly 4:30 before the gathering broke up and most everyone headed home and others off to do some Easter shopping.
