2015 Memorial Picnic
On Sunday September 13 Corvette Indy held this year's memorial picnic again at Marion County's Southeastway Regional Park. Some of the members going headed first to Jim & Shelly's for a caravan of 9 of the 33 Corvettes that made their way to the park. Once there they met up with the club's memorial picnic planners who had the grill going and hamburgers and hot dogs being cooked. Along with the cooked items were a number of salads and sweet items for everyone to enjoy the beautiful day. Before eating longtime member Dianna Albright led the group in a prayer where a number of the past deceased members were remembered. The day remained cool and partly cloudy which made everyone think about the fall weather that will soon be here. To augment the day's activities Brett brought along a TV and portable satellite dish so that the Colts game could be watched. A number of the 65 plus members gathered around, but were soon dismayed with the 10 - 0 score against the Colts. At least 4 of the members brought one of their dogs along, with each dog getting a lot of attention from other members through out the afternoon. Even with the beautiful day many of the group had left by 3 to get home to see the end of the game or head to other events happening with their families.
