Main Event - Saturday

A cool breeze met everyone at 7am as the 50 or so members arrived to set up for the day's events. The parking lot was completely empty of cars, which made creating and setting up the course a quick task. The timing equipment was set up and tested well before the start time. Booth areas were setup for the drawings and food tent, along with a Corvette Indy merchandise display.
The event started on time, with a slightly lower car count than in past year. The feeling was that we were in competition with graduations and other early in June events. In any case the club's events went off well with everything completed by late afternoon. Again a number of the members met for dinner afterwards, but were able to get home before dark and get ready for Sunday's early call.
